About Centre for Organization and Development
The Centre for Organization Development (COD), is a non-profit institution registered under the Societies Act, in 1980. It was set up by design to be a specialized institution; to be self –financing and to achieve high quality professional work with financial viability.
The three distinct features of the institution being, a strong client orientation, high standards of quality in everything it does and to create and maintain a friendly, informal growth and performance oriented work culture. COD has been committed to pursuing excellence in management education and practices.
COD is engaged in research, training and consulting on various aspects of organizational development, including, strategy, structure, culture, HR, change management and organization behavior. It has recognition as a centre for doctoral research from the Osmania University and as a scientific research institute from the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) Government of India.
Late Dr. B.L. Maheshwari, a distinguished Academician, Management Guru and a Visionary, was the founder director of COD.
Dr V Krishnamurthy, Chairman, National Manufacturing Competitiveness Council, GOI was the founder Chairman of COD for the first 18 years, and he continues to guide the Centre as Chairman Emeritus.
The Campus was inaugurated by the then President of India, Shri R. Venkataraman in the year 1990.
